TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., – This week, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and Volkswagen celebrate their fifth year of partnership. Volkswagen continues to be a crucial supporter of MoMA, and has supported nearly 40 projects over the past 5 years.

Volkswagen has assisted in art exhibitions, concert events, and educational programs. With the help of VW, MoMA was able to expand their online art courses and online seminar programs. Volkswagen and MoMA feel that art education programs are extremely crucial to “deepen an understanding of creative processes and encourage individual artistic action.” They are especially interested in furthering technological advancements to benefit “changing social needs.”

As Volkswagen continues to be a crucial supporter of MoMA, they also continue in their shared commitment to further art education and allow as many people as possible to become familiar with all different forms of art and how these art forms impact communities. VW is currently involved in the 40th anniversary celebration of MoMA PS1, a MoMA affiliated contemporary art center.

5 Northern Michigan 4th of July Fireworks Displays

Volvo Earns the Brand Design Language Award

When work began on the Volvo XC90, designers began work on rebranding the Volvo image, and altering the public perception of Volvo.

2. Take a road trip

2016 Cadillac CT6 Featuring New Infotainment System

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., – If you’re looking for the latest and greatest in luxury and technology for your vehicle, look no further than the 2016 Cadillac CT6 featuring all new infotainment system. The rear seat infotainment system comes standard in the 2016 Cadillac CT6 Platinum trim. It is also available as an add-on package for the Luxury and Premium models.

The new infotainment system’s features include HDMI and USB ports, which can be used along with the vehicle’s built in 4G LTE Wi-Fi to provide access to TV streaming applications like Netflix and Apple TV.

The system also features two 10-inch HD screens located on the vehicle’s seat backs. Screens allow passengers to play Blu-rays, view the front CUE screen, and view media information.

National Park Mobile App Travel Guides will Replace Paper Maps

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., – Subaru announced last week that it would be launching free mobile app travel guides for national parks across the country. Subaru, a company which already boasts a zero-landfill policy for all of it's manufacturing plants, partnered with Chimani, a company that creates apps for the national parks, in an effort to reduce waste from paper guides. These 59 National Park Mobile App Travel Guides Will Replace Paper Maps.

In celebration of the National Park Service Centennial happening this year, 59 app guides have been launched, one for each of the 59 national parks. As well as attempting to reduce paper waste that physical guides create, Chimani and Subaru hope to mend the issue of connectivity in most parks, as the apps GPS-enabled maps function without the use of Wi-Fi or cell reception. The apps include park features such as hiking trails, points of interest, and park facilities to help visitors find their way in the expansive national parks.

Subaru is a partner of the National Park Service Centennial, and have been extremely dedicated to preserving the environment of the national parks.

“We’re extremely excited to release the remaining national park apps,” said Gallivan, CEO and Co-Founder of Chimani. “Our tremendous partners at Subaru have lead the way for waste reduction in parks, and by replacing paper travel guides, Chimani will help them accomplish this goal.”

These 59 national park mobile app travel guides will replace paper maps and include Acadia, Yosemite, Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and all other national parks. The apps are available for free download in the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore.
