Subaru Loves the Earth

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., – During the month of April, Subaru is partnering up with the National Wildlife Federation to educate and raise awareness, as well as assist in preserving natural habitats for plants and animals. The Subaru Loves the Earth initiative will match participating Subaru dealers with local schools to aid in educating students and teachers about wildlife conservation.

Subaru Loves the Earth will create over 400 new Certified Wildlife Habitats. Certified Wildlife Habitats provide food, water, cover, places to raise young, and use sustainable practices to provide a place for plants and animals to thrive.

Subaru also hopes to educate the younger generation about wildlife conservation by donating garden supplies and native plants to local schools. Wildlife has declined over 58% due to habitat loss and Subaru wants to do something about it!

Learn more about how you can create your own Certified Wildlife Habitat on the National Wildlife Federation Website. When you certify your garden, you become a member of the National Wildlife Federation and are entitled to perks like discounts on garden equipment.

Cadillac XT5 Earns Top Safety Pick+ Rating

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., – The 2017 Cadillac XT5 has earned Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This rating is the highest rating a vehicle can earn in this category.

When the Cadillac XT5 is equipped with optional front crash prevention, it is able to earn good ratings in all five crashworthiness tests administered by the IIHS. A vehicle must also receive an advanced or superior rating in the front crash prevention test. It is these qualifications that earned it its TSP+ rating.

The Cadillac XT5 was designed with passenger safety in mind, and comes standard with 7 airbags. Emergency services provided by OnStar are also available to create an even safer environment for drivers. There are also other safety packages available that include driver awareness and driver assist technologies.

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., –– The Annual Traverse City Patriot Game is just around the corner! This year, the proceeds from the event will support Veteran to Veteran, a program that assists Veterans in returning to civilian life through mentorship from other Veterans.

Join Serra of Traverse City at the Annual TC Patriot Game as we support the Traverse City Central and West High Schools in this exciting head-to-head event! The Traverse City Patriot Game will take place on Friday, September 9th at 6:30 PM on Thirlby Field. Active duty military, Veterans, and first responders are invited to attend a tailgate party at 5:45 PM, and are then asked to join the players on the field to be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
