Facing Hunger Food Bank is an organization in West Virginia, whose main goal is to provide food to community members and alleviate hunger in their area. Since the training of the food bank's staff, their efficiency has increased by 600 percent, and their warehouse storage increased by two-thirds.
“Toyota’s approach is built around people,” said Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia President Millie Marshall. “Knowledge-sharing across industries helps community partners help more people in need, which benefits the communities we live and work in. Once the food bank learned our methodology, they made it their own and utilize it every day. At Toyota, we believe when good ideas are shared, great things happen.”
At Serra Toyota of Traverse City, we're proud to back companies that are dedicated to bettering their communities. We are so happy to report that Toyota Motor Manufacturing was able to assist Facing Hunger Food Bank, especially during the holiday season when so many are struggling to provide for their families.
