How to Celebrate Father’s Day Without the Gifts

Watch TV together. Dads love to watch TV. For Father’s day, try giving up the remote. Let your dad choose the channel. Whether it’s sports or his favorite show, odds are you’ll at least get to enjoy each other’s company for a few minutes.

Fix something together. Is your dad a Mr. Fix-it? Maybe there’s some house or yard work that needs to get done. Offer up your time as a gift this Father’s Day and help dad get his to-do list done. Better yet, just do something on his list for him!

Go to a game. If your dad likes sports, go to a game together! Even if you’re not into sports, live athletics are always guaranteed to be more interesting than watching them on TV, so pick up a few tickets to a local sporting event for you and your dad.
